July 2009 | Thomas Helmer presents main sponsor Melos at Klosterpforten Cup 2009
Thomas Helmer, former professional and European Soccer Champion, perfectly summarized the expectations at the 6th Klosterpforten Cup on 3 October in Marienfeld: “Let's see what the guys really can do”. He promoted the soccer cup together with Jörg Siekmann, MD of the main sponsor Melos and Klosterpforten boss Reinhold Frie. Thirty-two well-known and company-sponsored clubs participate and ten U13 teams compete for the first time for the “Junior Cup”. Details

April 2009 | Melos says goodbye to the "White Brazilian" Ansgar Brinkmann
After 20 years in professional football, the ex-league player terminated his career with a farewell match in Bielefeld's Schüco arena. For his send-off Brinkmann had invited back former colleagues from his time in the national league. The Brinkmann team was well worth seeing and was packed with former football stars. Details
